Google Analytics has finally turned into something really accessible! Which makes the December wrap-up even more easier! A brutally short overview on the top 10 posts you guys found the most interesting. Which sort of doesn’t really coincide with what you could have found interesting. Anyways. Here’s the list.
- Neuromancer finally in pre-production: read more about previous producer hell: 2011 has been crawling with Neuromancer posts! This one’s been taken from The Dose issue 3 (now free on Scribd!), a review on how directors have been struggling with taking one of the best SF novels of the century to the big screen and falling to their knees every single time.
- The Rules of the Suicide Girls Fight Club: A staggering amount of hits on half naked Suicide Girls smashing the shit out of each other. Nothing goes the wrong way with tits. And Fight Club rules.
- The pros and cons of Deus Ex: Human Revolution: My balanced pro/con review about the most-expected cyberpunk title of the year. Its soundtrack by Michael McCann is one of the best music releases this year but I had a lot of issues with the game itself. People nodded sadly after reading the review and fanboys went nuts on it.
- Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter: Killer cyberpandas without any connection to World of Warcraft. One of my best finds in Budapest’s best comics store, Trillian.
- Interactive Talking Plush Portal Turret: And although I fell in love with Skyrim (who hasn’t?), Portal 2 was, how was that on Twitter?, the best SF novel of the year. I didn’t understand this before playing. I truly get it now. And here’s an almost collectible piece for you fangirls and fanboys.
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Cyberpunk Making a Comeback in 2011: Well, it made a comeback and it was quite disappointing. What worries me (haha, another first world problem) is that the Syndicate franchise makes a similar comeback that sounds genuinely mediocre (with Richard K Morgan’s addition to the production team as scriptwriter being the only rope that could save the whole thing)
- NEUROMANCER: Cast list ideas? (Massive cyberpunk collaboration!): Natali’s helming the Neuromancer movie project and we’ve gotten a fellow cyberpunks aboard to share their ideas with you – from Access to Arasaka to Machete Girl!
- Omi Gibson – a Wonderful MGS Cyborg Ninja Cosplay: Would’ve been quite bad, leaving the cosplay posts out of the top 10, innit?
- ♫ Kanon Wakeshima – Lolitawork Libretto: Coming straight from Shinshoku Fever’s Jitta (HBD young lady, while we’re at it!), this has gotten to be quite the kink-ridden lolita tune for 2011. Apparently.
- Headhunterz: New Monthly Podcast “Hard With Style” Breaks Euphoria Barrier: Headhunterz has been our household recipe from euphoria since we went to bed with Qlimax and this was clearly a compensation to the masses for not being amongst the headliners for Qlimax 2010. Amazing tunes all the way!
